Data from the village Vehicle Activated Speed signs was analysed in August and is attached below for residents’ information. This data has now been forwarded to North Yorkshire Speed Management Protocol team who have come to the conclusion that further investigation through North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service is necessary. They plan to conduct further monitoring on the road for incoming traffic from the direction of Stokesley, using an automatic speed data logging device for a minimum of 7 days, 24 hours a day. This data will then be analysed by the Road Safety Task Group and a decision made on how best to proceed in enforcing the existing speed limit of this road.
