Great Broughton Parish Council have been awarded £4,808 from the planning levy imposed on the Waters Meet development by Hambleton District Council. The grant has to be spent on a community project which could be associated with the school, village hall, or the children’s playground or indeed any project which benefits the wider community.
The Parish Councils preferred option is to devote the money to the purchase of vehicle activated speed signs (VASS) once North Yorkshire County Council approve such Parish Council schemes. However, if you wish to submit an alternative project for consideration by the Parish and District Councils please contact the Parish Clerk with a description of the project and its benefit to the community plus an estimated cost before the end of April 2019 on broughtonparishcouncil@googlemail.com
