The Parish Council have purchased two “vehicle activated” speed signs which are being installed at each end of the High Street.
The Parish Council have received many complaints about speeding on the High St and hope that these new signs will help.
The County Council have imposed conditions about the type of signs and their positions. They will also not allow the signs to work at any particular location permanently. Therefore we will alternate the signs so that each will operate normally for six weeks at a time. The sign not operating normally will be turned round on its post and still operate for vehicles before they leave the village.
