The Parish Council have received two Community Infrastructure Levy awards:
- The total of the awards to date are £19,235.71
The funds have to be spent within five years of the awards date and on projects which are deemed to benefit the community. The projects have to be agreed with Hambleton District Council.
The request for project ideas from residents failed to produce any that met the award spending criteria.
Therefore the Councillors have decided to research the following three projects:
- The replacement of the bark surface of the Children’s Play Ground with an all-weather low maintenance surface
- The purchase and installation of Vehicle Activated Speed Signs (VASS) on the entry roads to the village
- The funding of transport for the elderly to and from Stokesley for essential shopping etc.
