Great and Little Broughton Parish Council are concerned by rapidly worsening damage caused by moles on Holme Beck, contributing to potential erosion of banks, and the Play Park field, where erosion creates a potential hazard for residents using the field.
We are actively considering a variety of methods of mole control including trapping, rodenticide and sonic repellents, but have concerns regarding the use of some methods and the need to close off respective areas.
This will be discussed at the next meeting on Monday 10th March at 7pm in the Village Hall when we hope a decision can be made.
